News and Forthcoming Events
In the recent past, Spring and Fall Astrofests have replaced the annual star parties.
These have been suspended as a result of the Covid pandemic. However, club members are still welcome to use the field for new moon weekends (subject to any local restrictions).
There is no fee for membership. As there are continuous running/maintenance costs, (utilities, grass cutting, repairs etc.) for this facility, we do however suggest that field users make a modest donation to cover these costs, thus making the club viable.
Important Note
It is a standing regulation that, in order to access the observing field, club members have to have returned signed copies of the “CAV Waiver Document” for themselves and any guest, family member attending with them. A copy of this waiver document is available for download by clicking this link:
The completed documents need to be placed in the box in the clubhouse when first attending the field. (There is currently no provision for doing this electronically)
